Audit - We view an audit as a beneficial service and tool to the business owners and other stakeholders of the organization. Although audits are often a requirement, the information obtained though audit procedures assists the company by improving business operations and future operating results.

Attest - Attestation services are assurance engagements that require procedures to be applied to financial reporting processes and controls, but do not necessarily require an audit. Examples of attestation engagements are

  • Agreed-upon procedures engagements
  • Reporting on financial forecasts and projections
  • Compliance attestation

Compilation & Review - Many of our clients have assurance needs that don't require an audit. Reviews and compilations are narrower in scope than audits, but still provide financial statements. Typically, these services are provided to smaller, closely-held businesses where the assurance is provided to third parties (e.g. banks, bonding agencies, etc.).

Compilations and review services are performed in accordance with the Statements on Standards for Accounting and Review Services issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

A compilation is limited to presenting, in the form of financial statements, information that is the representation of management.

A review goes a step further than a compilation. In addition to inquiries of company personnel, we perform analytical procedures applied to financial data.
